  • The Dow Theory [View instapost]
I don't think you can compare a China PMI with the Transports index because the PMI is a derivative of GDP growth. So it's a second derivative of GDP. While the Transport index is comparable to GDP.

(besides, the St. Louis Fed site doesn't have the China PMI numbers)

I'm just saying that stocks went up too much. If we just look at the Dow Theory, we see that Dow transports haven't moved up a lot more than Dow Industrials. So I expect flat trading of Dow Industrials at this moment.

Miners go up on sentiment. First let us see a real technical bottom in gold and then go in miners, not now.

Due to money printing and expansion of Fed balance sheet, it will most likely just be a correction.

  • Physical Vs. Paper: Is The Gold/Silver Price Correction Over? [View article]
I wouldn't be so sure about that because of the trend in lease rates, backwardation and the premiums in gold and silver in Shanghai and the short covering in gold (and since today also in silver).

Hasn't been doing good lately because of silver going down. I wonder how long it will take before silver goes back up again.

Thanks for the heads up and explanation. Nice to know an expert like you agrees with something I write (because I don't have any educational background on things I write).

Gold may be bottoming out, but what about the CFTC report for silver?

I only started monitoring it just recently. Haven't found any charts yet, if you do find it, I'm happy to receive the site.

I'll keep monitoring the APMEX premiums every day until this "hole" in the market gets filled.

  • China Silver Import Numbers [View instapost]
That's all speculation, who knows how much silver the Chinese have. I know they have very little gold, so it's not unimaginable that they have very little silver as well, because these two go in tandem. You can see the same happening in imports, they go in tandem.
