Kim began his career as a financial salesman - though that's not what they called it 28 years ago - as a consultant to public school teachers, representing one of the largest vendors of tax-sheltered annuities (TSAs). After stumbling around for many years on the sell side of the business he finally saw the light of fiduciary, fee-only financial planning, passed the CFP exam and hasn't looked back. He has amassed a broad range of experience in investments, insurance and all facets of financial planning. He held senior positions in several capacities at his previous firms. Kim is a graduate of the University of Washington and is a Certified Financial Planner Practitioner (TM). He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, a professional association that promotes the financial planning process. In his spare time, he plays the guitar, rides a bicycle and likes to travel.
