For many years I have managed sales and marketing in North America for a vey large manufacturer. I am approaching retirement within two years and hoping to develop an income strategy that I can self manage. I'm most interested in generating income with growing the estate being secondary. I hope to generate about 80k per year whicle growing the principal slowly. I do have some financial management background and have been an investor using mostly mutual funds for many years.
I am a 64 year old semi-novice investor, converting to a DGI portfolio since drinking the Kool-aid during 2012 or so, and retired from a Florida Retirement System public school district in July, 2014. I live on the northwestern Florida Gulf Coast - paradise. I'm married with three grown step children and have two grandsons, one seven and one two, both of whom color my world. I enjoy the beach, target shooting, and spending as much time in the north GA and western NC mountains as I can, hiking in the woods to the waterfalls. May your dividends be high and increase each year. Thanks for reading this.
I'm a retired individual who does lots of reading and research and manages his own finances. I seek to diversify across multiple asset classes with my primary objective being income and preservation of principle. I am too elderly (74) to consider myself a long term investor and remain mindful that in the long term we are all dead!
