After spending years as a stock analyst and trader, I helped start a company which focuses on teaching college students how to manage their money properly. While this new venture has given me a sense of purpose that my work in the stock market never could, I missed the excitement and intrigue of researching and uncovering companies with untapped potential. Because of this, I launched an investing website and newsletter as a side project and contribute regularly to Seeking Alpha. I consider myself a short to medium term investor. I have an above average risk tolerance so I tend to look only at investments with higher potential returns, but I try to offset this risk by screening for undervalued stocks. Because of this screening, I typically only find 1-2 companies per month that I really like. Most of my success has been in growth stocks and mid caps, however I cannot resist a promising (and thoroughly-researched) penny stock.
Just an average investor... primarily in American equity and bonds.
