Based on what you are saying I think the AKAM press release was pretty misleading if not just factually incorrect. That doesn't give me a good feel about them (not that I have had any good feelings about them of late.)

Also did your analysis include the streams from the "official" feed hosted by the congressional committee? That one wasn't part of any network or commercial service but was said to be the best one and the one we used here in France to watch.
