I have worked in an executive financial capacity (CFO) for more than 25 years. In 2005, I became a serious student of the market to gain a better understanding of successful investing/trading. I began my blog, The Perplexed Investor, to provide an honest narrative of my process. My blog and my posts are intended to have heuristic (and perhaps some entertainment or schendenfreudic) value and should never to be (mis)construed as having the intent of providing readers with investment/trading advice.

My avatar is my beautiful English Setter, Lucy. Though she has transitioned, she is a reminder to me always that courage, intelligence, tenacity, grace and beauty--all of which she embodied--are important to all things ...More deserving of our attention.
