Leisa » Profile

I have worked in an executive financial capacity (CFO) for more than 25 years. In 2005, I became a serious student of the market to gain a better understanding of successful investing/trading. I began my blog, The Perplexed Investor, to provide an honest narrative of my process. My blog and my posts are intended to have heuristic (and perhaps some entertainment or schendenfreudic) value and is never to be (mis)construed as having the intent of providing readers with investment/trading advice.

My avatar is my beautiful English Setter, Lucy. Though she has transitioned, she is a reminder to me always that courage, intelligence, tenacity, grace and beauty--all of which she embodied--are important to all things deserving of our attention. To include humor--though that was not one of her strong points but is one of mine!

Leisa's Blog

The Perplexed Investor I've been writing on a number of blogs since 2005 before beginning my own blog on 10/01/06. My blog is very much my personal journey in becoming a better investor/trader.
I believe that writing is a wonderful way in which to concretize one's thoughts. More than anything else, that is what I do on my blog. Accordingly, as I find themes (technical, fundamental, macro) that I believe are interesting, I like to share them with my readers in a conversational and informal way.
