In a nutshell, I'm an analyst. Of what? Of anything I apply my mind to. I enjoy reading the fine print of anything: computer system logs and source code, company financial statements and SEC filings, the raw text of the law, etc. I have a background in mathematics and programming. By trade, I'm a computer system analyst. I also have massive Excel programming skills that I routinely use to prototype trading ideas and interface with trading systems, scan public websites for useful info. In my analysis, I look for trends, creative and relevant frame of reference to compare things to, I also consider alternate plausible scenarios, in contrast with what's in front of me, I'll often ask myself what's missing. I recently turned my attention into stock fundamentals and SEC filings. It's truly amazing stuff. I enjoy digging into something new, learn an awful lot about anything and make connections with other stuff I know about.
