Will Kindle Success Come at Amazon's Expense?

The author seems to think Kindle success is inevitable. As far as I know, there are no metrics available relating to is sales or profitability. Amazon is very adept at spinning and hyping its products and services but delivers very little, figuratively speaking. I have never seen a Kindle and have no interest in using one. I question its success, both past and future.

Amazon didn't claim to have a great Christmas -- they said unit sales were higher than last year on the busiest day. You are the one who said they had a great christmas. I think you are going to be surprised and disappointed in three weeks when they announce single-digit revenue growth.
