Short-Term Trade Opportunity In Gold Ahead Of Swiss Vote
- Switzerland will soon vote on a proposal that would, if passed, require the Central Bank of Switzerland (SNB) to hold at least 20% of it's balance sheet in gold.
- The proposed law, referred to as "Save our Swiss Gold" would also forbid the SNB from ever selling its gold reserves.
- Gold prices may move higher as the market anticipates the possible effect of the referendum being approved by voters.
- This may create the opportunity for a short term "trade rally" in gold, regardless of whether the Save Our Swiss Gold vote is approved.
