    I agree on the out-performance of few names and am a great believer of the value "tape"/stock quotes tell us. However, this was analyzed from a long term perspective.

    I will putting together another piece on which short term dividend stocks are best buys and will let you know when that's published.

    Re: your point on these negatives already being discounted in the stock prices--to some extent they are but keep in mind that these are potential game changers and can bring a cyclical downturn in these names.

    I think at that time, release of Strategic reserve was more a function of new form of quantitative easing, the aim too was too keep inflationary pressures low, globally to keep central banks away from a hiking policy. But yes, the amount was not that huge. More of an indication i guess.
