Matt Gohd

A frequent source for shows on Fox Business and CNBC, Matt Gohd serves as an experienced financial commentator. Most recently, he has shared his thoughts on the effect of the 2012 presidential election on the markets and the impact of the Greek debt crisis. Mr. Gohd has worked in financial markets for 35 years and has seen numerous boom and bust cycles. This experience allows him to gauge market shifts and take a contrarian perspective. In the past, Matt Gohd chaired Bluestone Capital, which originated numerous managed public offerings totaling more than $1 billion. Before its 2001 sale, Bluestone assisted entities in the retail, technology, biotechnology, and Internet sectors. Mr. Gohd has also served on the executive committees of the boards for Onstage Entertainment, Iconic Brands, and eDiets.com.

In 1987, Mr. Gohd advised the chairman of the Congressional committee investigating the stock market’s October crash. He continued his connection to government officials by working with President Bill Clinton during both his campaigns and acting as a Managing Trustee for the Democratic National Committee.

Before relocating to the East Coast, Mr. Gohd studied finance and statistics at California State University, East Bay.
