Matthew Clawson is a Partner at Allen & Caron Inc (http://www.allencaron.com/) and a veteran of the investor relations and corporate communications fields. He manages the financial communications programs of a wide range of public and private companies, heading up the agency’s life sciences practice, providing day-to-day counsel to executive management and coordinating investor relations and media relations efforts for a number of the agency’s clients.

He has more than 15 years of both in-house and agency investor relations management experience. Since joining Allen & Caron Inc in 1997, he has directed the development and execution of numerous successful corporate investor relations programs. Clawson specializes in the targeting and development of institutional investor and research analyst following, support of fundraising activities, corporate and crisis communication, management consulting and the introduction and positioning of companies to the investment community.

Clawson has appeared as an expert panelist and has been a commentator for National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) professional development webcasts, seminars and publications. He has been quoted on investor relations topics by leading general and financial publications and he has undertaken special IR consulting projects for companies ranging from $20 million to $20 billion in market capitalization.

Prior to Allen & Caron, Clawson spent seven years in corporate investor relations, public affairs, stock brokerage and financial analysis. He received a MBA from California State University, San Francisco, and a BA in English from UCLA. He resides in San Clemente, CA with his wife and three children.
