  • The Minimum-Wage Stimulus [View article]
Its sad that the government has done everything it can to keep inflation around, when we had a great opportunity to have deflation in 2009. The opportunity for deflation would crush the corporations but would have benefited those in the middle to bottom tiers in the long run by bringing prices back down to reality. Food and goods would be more affordable, and the economy would have recovered stronger with those having their dollars worth more, not less...and a $15 minimum wage would devalue our money a great deal.

    $7 to $15 just a couple dollars?

Could MC Donalds afford it? Sure they could, would they pay it?

    Never.

  • Microsoft's Surface Doesn't Work [View article]
Surface is not a piece of junk, I have used all the tablets out there and its the best one, hands down. If the iPad was actually anything near a PC equivalent as the Surface is, then I would be praising the iPad, however the iPad is just an overpriced Youtube player.

I don't understand the argument that inflation is a good thing, if you pay $15 per hour all costs associated with it...food prices, services and anything else will off set the perceived benefits...it will benefit no one.

Here is the thing though, there are 4 basic movements in order to use a Surface...swipe across, swipe down and flick your right thumb, pinch, thats it.

That enables you access to anything you want on the tablet.

iPad...swipe, swipe, swipe...nope not there, swipe swipe swipe...dang where is it? How do I go back? Oh I need an app to load just to view a youtube video?

    Hold on a minute.

First of all, I know for a fact the Surface RT works. I own one. I also know for a fact that it works better than the iPad in terms of ease of use and productivity.

I also know for a fact that when I need to search or send email for word docs, that my iPad has been collecting dust.

So I read your article and I have no idea what the heck you are talking about.

  • Nintendo: Will U Invest In The Nintendo U? [View article]
I just bought a Wii U for my son, he is under 10 group so its far more appropriate for him content wise, and also for me I enjoy it with all the tv controls and media content through the gamepad, very innovative system. I think the newer consoles will blow them away in terms of horsepower but as the Wii proved, its not all about the graphics. Wii U is excellent, and very nice build quality, you can tell its a quality item. And its tiny compared to the A/V receiver sized new consoles.

  • GameStop Gets Bid As Microsoft Backtracks On DRM [View article]
The ill will may continue, and people could pan the Xbox anyway. The Kinect alone is scary enough, now it needs to be backward compatible with the hundreds of games these kids already own.

You are so wrong about that statement. If you were right, MSFT would not have backtracked and cancelled the policy entirely. They did, and I said in 2011 when GME shares traded at $19 and people declared used games dead, that it was also wrong.

People want value in what they purchase, regardless if its worth 25% of what you paid for its better than 0%. The ability to trade like a commodity is priceless.

So many on here do not get the gaming industry, its funny to watch people declare that the iPad will take over the gaming industry, lol are you serious?

EA is optimizing for AMD, because a vast majority of their games being developed will be fore AMD architecture across the board CPU and GPU. AMD has officially monopolised the gaming market, Nvidia is giving up on it essentially, and are offering a very weak and buggy hand held game streamer tethered to your pc using of all things...Android OS...what a waste.

  • 3 New Developments For Nvidia [View article]
It's pretty clear that the gaming console folks want to diverge an much as possible from a PC architecture in order to differentiate themselves.

Well no, thats not true at all. Xbox One and PS4 all tout their PC guts as being the latest in PC technology at a lower price than you can buy the equivalent. AMD 8 core CPU and GPU, ect.

The diferentiating factor of consoles will be exclusive content. AMD has much much more upside in this battle than Nvidia does.

  • Nintendo (NTDOY.PK) CEO Satoro Iwata says relaxed marketing efforts by the company are partially to blame for the poor sales of the Wii U on top of the game delays which got the gaming console off to a rough start. He thinks if one publisher has a breakaway hit the Wii U can become relevant, but that could be wishful thinking. Electronic Arts skipped the platform completely during it E3 announcements this year. [View news story]
EA is a completely dysfunctional company, who cares if they skip the Wii U? Once they realize that their gamble to go all in on the Xbox One, and attempt to double dip profits with a fee to trade used games backfires the jig will be up.
