RSH I love underdogs! Sales reps at OfficeMax stores, what will they think of next?

    • Matthew Davis: I wish I had enough $ to add more, got in at $12 which I think is fair, but it might dip below 12 again.

    • shaker33: RSH is trash. Only hope is for takeover, which won't happen until price is lower.
      11/16/11
    • shaker33: Shared store space is desperation. Last gasp effort for survival. Amazon will wait to buy out of bankrupcy when sales tax deals expire.
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: LOL, Amazon to buy RSH, that's rich. Shaker, you don't even know what RSH is about anymore...and probably just a short seller.

    • shaker33: Enlighten me madav.
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: Well, if you actually visit a Radio shack, there are no longer the knick knack items they used to sell to repair electronics...
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: They primarily sell mobile devices they transitioned to Verizon from T-mobile, and carry Ipad now...
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: They carry accessories, and are centering around higher quality electronics, and putting sales ppl in Office max, which saves Ofc max $$$
      11/16/11
    • shaker33: So you think VZ and AAPL customers will bypass those co. stores to visit the local shack.
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: while RSH profits, and OFC max will also gain $ in the process...win win. This is a turn around company, they are adapting, unlike BestBuy
      11/16/11
    • shaker33: BestBuy is also toast. I guess the s&p downgrade of RSH credit rating to junk didn't bother you.
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: It does, however RSH makes a ton of cash, they had a squeeze because of the costs to transition product lines, but they typically make big $
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: Right trust S&P and Moody's who are a bunch of political weasels. If RSH can cover their bills, thats what matters.
      11/16/11
    • shaker33: I'm not being argumenitive, just not a big fan of brick and mortar retail. AMZN pinching margins all over the place.
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: AMZN is a high horse to be knocked off in the future. Be honest, how much are you to buy on AMZN this holiday compared to stores?
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: I use AMZN for one thing, cheap wires and knick knacks I need in case I lose a battery or USB for an MP3 device.
      11/16/11
    • shaker33: I rarely go to stores for anything but food. AMZN will have problems in a couple of years when sales tax deals expire with states.
      11/16/11
    • shaker33: That is why they will eventually pick up store fronts in the future, ala Fed Ex buying Kinkos.
      11/16/11
    • Matthew Davis: No problem all are welcome for friendly debate, but lets not go overboard by calling a stock trash without being able to demonstrate why.
      11/16/11
    • shaker33: I thought BB- credit rating (junk status) by s&p was a pretty fair demonstration.
      11/16/11
    • shaker33: I have no position in RSH and don't plan on initiating one. I hope it goes back to $20 and you guys make a mint.
