  • Today's Market: Pharma Mergers And News, Tesla Speculation And Small Caps Holding Up Strongly [View article]
So what do you think the tweet meant?

Next best guess has to be an update that tells drivers where charging stations are...but that just does not seem bold enough.

  • Commodities Today: Bakken Producer To Sell Assets, Refinery Strike To End [View article]
I'm a proponent of keeping it all here too, and have been for some time. But if we reach a point where we fill up all of our capacity and refiners are not adding capacity, where are we supposed to put all that extra oil? It has to go somewhere because producers cannot always shut-in/curtail production without damaging wells. We need new pipelines and more refineries, but without them we have to relieve the pressure somehow and the only way we see that happening is via exports.

I would not say I am an Ackman advocate, but for full disclosure I do have to say that there are numerous MLM companies out there that I question (although HLF was not one of them).

To answer your question though, I do not know. I simply said that it seems, which was based off of what he said this morning. Nothing was definitive, nor did I mean for it to sound definitive.

Not even a 5% pullback and you are calling a bear market?! That is bold!

It doesn't. It would be a better fit for a company that already owned animal pharma. I suppose they are looking at it simply as a roll-up though.

That is another good name, and with an upswing in the market could be a big winner. Unlike some, we are not against liking the partnerships.

I'm not sure about "effort" but the point was milk is renewable and milk is not. Juice, water, etc are all rather expensive on a gallon to gallon comparison to oil.

One could make the argument that stimulus policies would promote long-term growth as it would finally put an end to the questions surrounding debt markets and the sanctity of the euro. If that is cleared up and regions outside of the US start to see growth, prosperity for those outside of the 1% should be a reality.

Markets are proxies in our view, so it is not that we want to avoid sell-offs due to short-term reasons, but rather for what it signifies in regards to the policy's long-term outlook.

If you are expecting a downturn then obviously you would stay away, but if you are bullish then those institutions with a market cap of $250 million to $10 billion are attractive. Even more attractive if a migration of deposits is set to take place.

Many pipelines run at 100% capacity and already the market is behind on building new ones...stocks are falling on fears that the growth may stop. If producers roll back plans to spend then there will be less to transport in the future.

Thanks AFAHM. If it gets rid of debt and the valuation is correct, then it could create a very intriguing cash generating machine. It all depends on what rents will be and in SHLD's case whether they can turn around the main business.

The problem with SHLD is that they just need to remodel those stores. They are soooooooo depressing to go into, even the "new" Kmarts. It is no wonder why the parking lots are empty and the company loses over a half a billion dollars a quarter.
