    China is doing fine domestically, and will take up the export slack with much needed infrastructure to fill the trade gap.

    Australia is now seeing the Chinese come in buying mining assets at bargain prices, helping to make their goods cheaper.

    Americans are addicted to consuming and they will not/never change.

    China and Asia is the new force, im very glad im Australian and look forward to going for the ride when China again booms.

    I agree that there is short term pain to be had, maybe medium term, but there is a change of the guard now happening, i expect China to be the largest economy in 5 to ten years time.
