ABOUT
Physician Assistant trained at State University of New York at Stony Brook. I am an Allied Fellow Member of the American Urological Association, Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Fellow of the Urological Association of Physician Assistants, and former Vice President of the Adirondack Society of Physician Assistants (a Continuing Medical Education program). I am credentialed by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
My career is exclusively focused in surgery (urologic and general surgery) for the past 12 years, working with patients who receive chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, and active surveillance. My small rural practice (1 Physician, 1 Physician ...More Assistant) is now an infusion center for Provenge. Small community practices are at the greatest risk of financial loss during Provenge treatment. My investment strategy with Provenge is closely guarded with a healthy amount of skepticism. I see the reality of the acceptability of Provenge, and other high-priced chemotherapies that have come to market in 2010-2011.
My practice does not perform prostate cancer surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy. Therefore, as a general urology practitioner, I remain largely unbiased and I have served as a clinical opinion in many articles about DNDN and Provenge on seekingalpha.com, and continue to educate my patients and community physicians about Provenge as a treatment option.
