Appreciate the comment. As to your questions:

    1) I don't think any kind of correction would be severe, but price will dictate that in the coming days.

    2) Don't think markets believe Fiscal Cliff happens. Politicians likely front-run the issue post elections.

    3) See my Lead-Lag Report on Minyanville for information on sector movement. Do think Industrials and Financials more attractive than Financials.

  • Week In Review – September 30, 2012: October Correction? [View instapost]
If you will recall back in April when I made the argument for a mini-correction, ATAC positioned into bonds and made money as stocks declined, all while remaining bullish on equities under the idea that the correction would be short-lived. Same idea here.

Sincerely appreciate that. I won't get everything right (no one does), but my hope is to simply interpret price to increase the odds of success.

Yes - "for a quick trade" as I mentioned in the writing. Much like we positioned into bonds April and May while maintaining bullishness on stocks for the year (both of which were right to do).

Factually incorrect. I am giving voice to our strategies and ATAC models.

  • Pay Attention: European Financials Give Harsh Warning To Bears [View article]
As you may be aware, I use multiple intermarket relationships, of which this is one of them. Furthermore, I am very specifically addressing European Financials, and making the comparison to how price wise they behaved during the first quarter.

Correct - and as I stated specifically about Silver, the metals trade is reacting on reflation: August 1: http://on.mktw.net/Ok8teI

@ndras - appreciate the comment. This is why precisely I focus on listening to price, rather than opinion which has no ability for timing markets.

I find it hard to believe that the ECB would risk its entire credibility unless it knew how the German court would be okay with its plan. Appreciate the comment.

Fair enough, but human behavior does not change. From that perspective, money will continously overreact and underreact, which goes back to interpreting price with a behavioral/psychological overlay. Appreciate the perspective.

I don't disagree with the thinking, but from a behavioral standpoint, I find it beyond hard to believe that the powers that be in Europe won't do whatever it takes to prevent such a massive decline.

I appreciate the comment and you following my analysis. All I am doing is interpreting price - nothing more.

Certainly possible - remember I am interpreting price movement. For now price is still signaling a good environment for equities. Appreciate the comment.
