  • A Solid REIT With A Technology Twist Offering More Than A 5% Dividend [View article]
Great Article! I would add Apple and Facebook's as major tenants too. Also, unlike its rivals DLR, DFT have a 'quad lease' structure that insures maximum operating expenses are passed through to tenants, including future technology improvements, insuring against obsolescence. This is possible because DFT has a premium internet company client list (around 33) compared to DLR's 1000s of clients and leases written willy nilly to get a deals done...It is that practice that turned DFT into a GEM and DLR into the focus of one of the largest short positions in markets today.

The value of DFT stems in its super-tight leasing terms. That what separates boys from the men here.

How can you compare BBM 2.0. To Skype?? BBM is far from competing with Skype-lacking PC and Mac clients, which are by far Skype's largest user base.

Not too mention the lack of simultaneous logon of clients cross platform that Skype provided.

BBM is NO Skype. Far from it.

  • BlackBerry - Carrier Support Is Evaporating [View article]
    Hi Sneha,

    re your comment

"However, I have not seen any SA articles about how UK telecom carriers are now shunning BB 10 smartphone models. "

I guessed you missed my article two months back regarding EE and Phones4U dropping the BB10s??
    http://bit.ly/1hujXqU

That article clearly outlined the end of carrier support in the UK. The stock dropped 4% after this article. You must have missed it?

This is old news and well baked into the price.

Have a read at Citron Research on Textura last week. He's no Monkey but he pinned a dart right between Management's eyes.

That was purely done through hard noswed research. Pure Alpha.

    Hi Jenksjr,
You mention DFTS short position please note: Shorts have been decreasing DFT short by 500K every two weeks, from a high of 12M shares to 9M.

DFT short is far smaller than 22% of the float. You missed the OPs maybe?

Lastly DLR's shorts are adding 1M shares every two weeks, and these at $45-$50.

This is not a consumer stock, so these are well organised foes.

It's Just that Jacobson successfully called the top here, and also correctly warned of the accounting problems that ensued and are continuing.

He's been on the right side of this trade all along, and I would just rather pick the cleaner alternative if I liked the sector.

These massively shorted stories, shorted by the pros, tend to play out in the shorts favor. They have done better research than street analyst.

Thank you about Bigger Problem 1. I think that is worth an article all on its own.

I like the sector but prefer DFT. It's a cleaner, purer yield without incessant accounting issues.

Most importantly I have found that multibillion dollar hedge funds have deeper research capabilities than Seeking Alpha writers, and as those funds have piled in the short position here to an all time (staggering 31M shares), it can only mean that SHORTS KNOW SOMETHING I DON'T.

Hence I prefer DFT it's simply an easier, cleaner dollar to earn.
