Erich Senft, CTA is the trader behind SupportandResistance.com, the well loved Big Weekend Edition published each Sunday evening and the Commodity Pick Report which is published daily before the markets open.
You can follow Erich on Google Plus at https://plus.google.com/104018566616729277431
The commodity markets first captured Erich’s attention in the 1970′s when the Hunt brother’s made the news trying to corner the silver market. Ever since then he had a desire to learn more about what made the commodity markets tick.
Many years after Erich’s initial interest in commodities he was introduced to the Ken Robert’s trading course. After experiencing mild success with the limited strategies offered by Ken Roberts, he delved deeper into the study of the commodity markets and became particularly interested in the concept of support and resistance as the basis of all technical analysis.
Erich has written for many trading sites, publications and trading educators. His knack for explaining the concepts of support and resistance in a clear and concise manner has made him a very popular educator among traders.
In addition to the Big Weekend Edition, Erich has published a popular daily trade update called the Commodity Pick Report (or CPR) for over a decade, where he tracks multiple markets in the grains, meats, energies, metals, financials, softs and currencies sectors.
In 2011 Erich started to provide a coaching service to traders for Indicator Warehouse, and in 2012 joined the team responsible for developing DTS, the Diversified Trading System, a breakthrough day trading system that allows trading multiple instruments, timeframes or methods simultaneously. Erich is now full time coach and moderator of the DTS Live Trading Room and the Indicator Warehouse Forum.
Erich is a graduate of the University of Alberta business program and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is also a registered Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA). He lives in the Pacific Northwest with his wife; and when he’s not talking or trading commodities you can usually find him on the golf course chasing a disobedient little white ball.
Matthew Bradbard serves as a Director at RCM Alternatives & Attain Portfolio Advisors. Matthew began his career in the commodities business as an advisor to clients on asset allocation and buy/sell decisions. Matthew has devised, implemented and executed trading strategies for several firms since entering the commodity business in 2001. Matthew has also managed his own global macro CTA that traded numerous futures and options strategies and operated his own Introducing Broker for 5 years. A prolific commentator, Matthew has published subject-specific articles, market commentaries, and Managed Futures educational pieces for the last decade. Matthew is frequently interviewed for his opinion on commodities and current events as they relate to commodities and their role in an investor’s portfolios.

Stocks are like fishing. The lake provides the opportunity to gamble and catch a winning fish and collect the prize money. The fish are educated guesses determined by what the fish eats and how well it grows vs. how many people are fishing. You cant catch a winner without a line in the water but you can also be out all day and still come home defeated. Side note, Like fishing, Trading is best done intoxicated. (personal opinion)
Old Geezer that listened to parents that lived through the Great Depression. Am a USAF veteran and proud grandpa of twelve grandkids. I am trying to learn enough to be a good investor and have met many great and tolerant (I ask a lot of questions) people here on SA.
