Are winter superstorms likely?
From The Political Commentator
Was the October storm along the east coast of the United States an aberration or precursor to a dangerously bad winter season?
Are we facing weather that will make last winter seem like a walk in the park?"... The winter of 2010 to 2011 saw several intense superstorms break out across North America and Northern Europe. Meteorological experts are predicting far worse for the 2011 to 2012 winter season. Some regions may be trapped in snowfall of historic proportions. The possibility of being snowbound for up to a week or more will increase.
People living in areas that run the risk of being inundated by winter superstorms might consider taking advance precautions. Having enough food
on hand is a logical step..." (Helium.com)

“…Space weather forecasters are predicting an upswing in solar activity that may result in catastrophes on Earth.
The sun is on the upswing of an 11-year cycle called solar maximum, which is ripe for solar flares. The sun’s volatility is expected to reach an apex sometime in May 2013, said William Murtagh, a space weather scientist with the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration. Scientists are racing to understand the effects its energy might have on the U.S power grids in hopes that potential cataclysm can be avoided…

Got this in an email today and it had me on the floor. The laughs were definitely needed as this has been a tough week all around! Enjoy!
IT CAN BE HARD KEEPING A STRAIGHT FACE AS A COURT REPORTER
These are from a book called Disorder in the American Courts, and are things people actually said in court, word for word, taken down and now published by court reporters that had the torment of staying calm while these exchanges were actually taking place.

The U.S. will NOT default on its debt!
One sentence explanation on a U.S. sovereign debt default Maybe two.
If there is no increase in the debt ceiling, the United States will not default on its debt, period!
Despite the fear mongering and misinformation emanating from the White House and Democrats, the debt service on US treasury debt would be paid and non-essential programs and departments would be the places where funding would have to be cut.
Do not listen to that man behind the curtain as he is using this debt ceiling debate purely for political gain. No more no less.
Note: The networks should be charging him for these prime time talks as these are political announcements covering absolutely no new ground. Maybe five or six.
