They have $25 mil to work with as of December 31 (burning about $5 mil year). I think they sell the biz before they raise cash.

I agree the market is ripe for disruption. But I think real estate agents are not replaced. We are talking about people's single most important investment decision. One area of disruption, in my opinion, is for technology solutions in the real estate space a la CRM SaaS applications from Zip Realty.

Probably around $3.75 for the common, more over the longer term if the fioptics biz continues on its current trajectory.

Getting rid of the declining assets more like it. Fioptics is growing nicely within the wireline biz.

From the earnings call (see para 3 and 4 in opening quotes from Peterffy):

    http://seekingalpha.co...

"On the final day of the quarter, a highly publicized book Flash Boys was released. This has reignited the debate over high frequency trading and its effect an overall fairness of the market. It has also intensified ongoing inquiries and prompted new investigations of the HFT industry by various regulators and law enforcement agencies that are concerned with potentially illegal front running and insider trading.

I want to be very clear on this. This is going to be a positive and may even be a very big positive for us. First, we have always been strong and outspoken advocate for fair and orderly market and believe that such a scrutiny at the end will be beneficial to our customers and will ensure a more level playing field."

Thanks for the write up. Curious if you've looked at Identive Group (INVE). I think it is an attractive play on Identity-as-a-Service ("IDaaS") and the Internet of Things.

Good question. On a GAAP basis, probably need to get to $500 to $600 million in sales to achieve profitability. At scale, management is guiding to 6 to 10% EBITDA margins which I think are achievable given 23 - 24% gross margin on its product. Capital requirements here are low due to eCommerce model - inventory turns are high (much higher than GNC or Vitamin Shoppe).

There is some consolidation in the industry, probably for reasons you cite - competition -- but which makes a VITC sale more likely in my opinion.

We'll see what happens, but I'm sure plenty of strategic buyers would love to own a growing eCommerce business -- not in consumer electronics -- for 1x sales.
