Turned out to be not so tight after all...the results show a clear win for Santo. Although he came within a few percent of an overall victory (50% needed), so they will have a runoff on June 20. Expect him to sweep to victory and for Colombia to continue to lead the world in equity performance in the 2nd Half.

Yea, they are one of those things that most people can't wrap their hands around...It's partly the media's fault, but much of the blame is in the financial industry. If people knew that they probably invest in hedge funds indirectly, they would have different opinions.

The majority of investors in hedge funds these days are public pension plans and endowments...so its the little guy that gets hurt, not the rich

good analysis Chris...its tough to bet against this market no matter how foolish the bull run looks, due to the capital inflows. I am not so convinced about metals being overbought though, I think there is much room to grow. We shall see...

stocks can gain all they want and the shrills on CNBC can go crazy, but if they are outpaced by inflationary assets like gold and oil (and even tips) then whats the point in investing in them?
this always occurs, its nothing more than riding the crowds, the type of momentum investing that so many employ...unfortunately this is going to kill long-term investors who use a "long only" investment model
