I'm a former financial advisor trying to atone for my past sins. I run a little financial education business, Thought Process Financial Education. You can check out my website www.thoughtprocessfe.com and my YouTube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/thestockjockey. My stuff is geared towards the "average" do-it-yourselfer. After 20 years in financial services, I find that the old-school trading philosophies of Jesse Livermore and Gerald Loeb hold more truth than the new-school EMH. Investing is a craft and it is sometimes messy.

We use Stock Market Scout (SMS) as a model to indicate allocating cash to an index ETF (such as SPY) by going long on Green, cash on Yellow, short on Red (or stay in cash). This is not a recommendation to buy or sell SPY.
We are proud to offer powerful tools for free or at price point that allows any investor to have an edge.
I'm a professional institutional investor by day and an amateur investor managing my own personal portfolio outside of work. My personal investment strategy has been influenced by the writings of Joel Greenblatt, Seth Klarman, and Ben Graham. My personal strategy focuses on companies with high returns on invested capital, high EBIT yields, increasing free cash flows, and low valuations. I prefer companies that are trading at a meaningful discount to very conservative estimates of their intrinsic value - the proverbial "margin of safety." I also believe the only path to true outperformance is a concentrated portfolio of the best opportunities.
ETF Trader using tactical strategy to maximize returns. Track two portfolios, rebalance weekly for one, monthly for the other via a systematic ranking process. Validate the results of the systematic ranking process against various technical criteria including 50 day moving average versus 200 day moving average and fundamental review of economic news and data.
My interest in the stock market can be traced back to Primary School, I can’t remember the teacher or the which grade, but she told a fictional story which has always stuck with me. It was a typical stock market tale of fear and greed, the two most powerful emotions in the financial markets. A stock trader who bought a stock at $1, watched in climb all the way up past $1000, but got greedy and wouldn’t sell assuming he would make more money. Of course some sort of bad news about the company came out and next thing you know the stock was back to $1. Of course this was a fictional story, but from that point on I was hooked. I bought my first shares when I was 13 and have been following the markets ever since.
I'm passionate about helping others and tell it like it is. My motto is to keep options education "Bullsh*t Free", there is far too much hype in this industry.
I've been featured on SMB Options Tribe, See It Market, Money Show, Option Pit and Commodity HQ.
I've authored 4 books, 3 of which become best sellers and 1 is the third top rated book on Amazon in the options category with 24 five star reviews as of October 2014.
I have a Masters in Applied Finance and Investment, but everything I've learned about the markets I have learned in the trenches.
