Professional Investor, I know my shit. I will put my year over year returns up against anyone's. So many "experts" here try to talk the talk but are morons along with their CNBC Jim Cramer style loser investing skills!
I’m a retired owner of a financial services company providing support to a field-force of some 4,000 financial advisors throughout all 50 US states and Puerto Rico. I sold my company to a large private equity firm in 2010 and since then this salty old dog has been learning new tricks, to wit: fly-fishing, travel, daily (grueling) sessions at a local gym, and, perhaps I didn’t mention this, fly-fishing.
I’ve been passionate about investing for more than four decades. During that time, I have made just about every mistake known to man, which is why I am writing this blog. I hope to help readers avoid the pain of my past experiences by providing what I believe is a practical and uncomplicated system for investing in very high quality DIVIDEND paying stocks.
I am a keen dividend growth investor with a new found passion in the stock market and buying income on sale.
Although a fan of the lower risk DGI method, I am all in for financial freedom and attempting to retire by 30. I am therefore willing to take on more risk to get there and I am now investing into higher yield stocks predominantly MReits, BDCS and Reits. I firmly believe that this approach will get me there faster alongside investing in undervalued dividend growth stocks that will compound better in the long run.
I am looking at a complete 50/50 split of DGI growth stocks for stability and 50% high yield alternatives. I am now looking into Reits, MReits and BDC's for my journey to financial freedom.
I am 40 and would like to retire before 60. I am fortunate to work for a state government and I am vested in their pension. So, I am set when I turn 60+. Because I don't have to worry about saving for a normal retirement age, I have been able to put almost all of my savings towards the goal of early retirement, by investing in a taxable brokerage account.
A Canadian in China, living here for the last 12 years and travelling to China for the last 30 years. I own and manage a medical device manufacturing company in Shanghai. My investment interest is long term capital appreciation.
