    the status quo wants you to think that that is all facebook is, notches on the mouse. social networking is bringing people closer together. are there some side effects, some sheared fragmentation? that always happens. see the big picture here.

    facebook is increasing the texture of relationships, not decreasing it. i would much rather help articulate what is said about me through my facebook network (social media), than let haters with various agendas represent me though their media (newspapers)

    this goes back to the perfectionism of the greeks, and the willingness of the romans to negotiate the least-worst outcome

    yes, there is no doubt people currently use linkedin for empty resume engagement, there is no doubt that facebook has done very little to compete with this in the past.

    that's why LNKD's defenestration will be quite easy
