Are Camera Phones Killing the Digital Camera?

My iPhone 3GS is terrible as a camera in anything but ideal lighting. I can't imagine how bad previous iPhones were before the upgrade. My LG 2MP phone-camera was much more reliable.

That said, the video camera almost makes up for the lame still-photo camera.

Apple should consider making the volume buttons a shutter release. It could help.

Is Cisco Going to Compete with Apple in the Living Room?

I find it surprising that there's been so little talk of Cisco buying Yahoo - not that I think they'd actually do it. But it would give Cisco instant access to a large number of consumers.

Cisco would be at the top my list of companies that could cull some sense out of Yahoo. Maybe some cents too.

Apple as a Target

Brewer said: "I predict that DECE will fail just like 'playsforsure' did. Microsoft left the consumers high and dry with that one. There should be a class action suite against them."

Brewer is right. PlayforSure, Yahoo!, Amazon Unbox --- they all make half-hearted attempts and leave their customers AND partners in the cold. Surely all the mp3 makers are irked with Microsoft, but they don't have the power to address the rejection of PlayforSure.

It's hard to picture a day when Apple says my iTunes music won't play. With the others it's a near certainty.
