I have consulted in retailing for nearly 100 investment companies, published over 400 articles about retailing and retail jewelry for GLG News, given seminars about key trends in the diamond jewelry industry, and have written an industry wide jewelry newsletter for a surplus buyer that manages inventory reduction sales and store closing sales for retailers.
Presently, I am a director of White & Co., a custom jewelry retailer. My previous experience includes executive management in the world’s largest jewelry retailers, buying expertise in diamonds, gold, and watches. I have technical experience as a bench jeweler and I am a GIA graduate gemologist.

In addition, I have international jewelry experience having managed a large jewelry chain in Canada, In addition, I was the Buying and Merchandising director for Signet Jewelers in the UK, where we competed with Tiffany.
I have bought loose diamonds in all the major diamond-cutting centers and been responsible for a $60 mlm diamond buying and cutting facility in Tel Aviv, directed a gold buying office in Vicenza, Italy that processed about several metric tones of gold per year. I have hands on management, buying, and merchandising experience in both traditional retailing and e-commerce jewelry retailing.
My skill is accessing current business trends across existing and emerging retail jewelry brands and formats, including Tiffany. Accordingly, I am actively involved in jewelry retailing, read a variety articles in the press and retailing literature, speaks to a broad cross-section of industry participants, and tracks the performance of various companies.
I can speak with authority about most jewelry businesses, their advantages and disadvantages, strategic strengths and weaknesses, and the viability of their current tactics especially large chains like Zale and Signet Jewelers.
I am the founder of White & Co., a custom jeweler serving several counties in Western Kentucky; co-founder of EMG, LLC an e-commerce company serving Quixtar.com; Director of B & M for Signet Group PLC in the UK; SVP of all operation for Peoples Jewellers, Ltd in Canada; and the EVP and COO for Zale Corporation in Irvine, TX. My academic background includes graduate and post-graduate work including a MA Degree in Psychology, a BS in Mathematics, and the completion of a Harvard Executive oprogram in international marketing. Presently, I am working on my PhD in Organizational Psychology and Organizational Development.
