An undergraduate student studying Maths and Finance. An eclectic trying to sponge knowledge up in Economics, Psychology, Computer Science, Technology. The approach I take to investing is understanding as much as I can about all the moving parts, I don't fight the trend, I simply accept it. nulldelta
I am European - Danish in fact - I have worked 20 years as CEO of (for EU standards) heavy and hi-tec industries in Denmark, Germany, Sweden and Iceland, followed by 15 years as Chairman of various similar industries, - US company included. (Conclusion: I'm getting pretty old!)
I am a retired lawyer who also was CEO of a small merchant banking firm affiliated with BOA and of a financial services holding company. I have been an entrepreneur in the medical services area. I presently spend most of my time reading about investing and doing so.
I am a retired orthopedic surgeon. I spent the last seven years of my career CEO of a medium sized rural hospital system, retiring in 1994. After retirement I spent a year consultant to the CEO of a large Catholic Hospital System. I maintain an active interest in the market while managing my own investments. Technology related companies are of particular interest to me.
As an individual investor nearing retirement I am trying to build my financial assets in order to have a fulfilling retirement. I am interested in trading both long and short; or at least using inverse ETFs, to take advantage of market declines. Having long term and short term trading strategies, proper execution of my trading plan, and absolute investing results are my goals. I see my articles as a way to keep me focused on developing winning trades. I also expect to learn much from the feedback that is provided in the comments section.
