Unilever UN / UL down 4.3% on a disappointing quarterly report. Dip buy? Nice dividend over 4%.

    • FortSumter: Might be if you believe emerging markets will get stronger. They have a huge presence in Latin America and other areas with low incomes.

    • sstonerm3: That divy takes a little bit of a hit on foriegn withholding......

    • neobliviscar: Agree with both what these two guys said above. I like UN & especially its emerging markets positions, but tired of foreign div withholding.

    • sstonerm3: I'm taking a chance for a quick rebound. Like the stock, and can live with a long position if need be. Nederlands isn't a PIIG.

    • FortSumter: Which one UL or UN? What's the difference?
      2/2/12
    • neobliviscar: Jah, Nederlands isn't a pig & the div withhold won't keep many from seeing a big div & bot buying. Not sure if I will trade it, but like UN.

    • sstonerm3: FortSumter, good question. I bought UN. Both are ADRs. Anyone know the difference?

    • Ocean Man: UN has Netherlands withholding. UL in England - no withholding. Co-headquarters, nearly identical, but different currency risks.

    • neobliviscar: Well then, I technically played the wrong one. Picked up 3000 on the open and sold 30 of the March 30 Puts at .30cents. Not a big play.

    • sstonerm3: Neo , then you bought UN

    • sstonerm3: that was a question. So did I

    • neobliviscar: Yessir. Got UN in the upper left corner of the screen. It is my cup of coffee play 4 the morn. I'll probably dump at $32.75 for the quickee.

    • neobliviscar: In&Out turned into morn-marathon. ?No Show morn print of 32.55? Mystified by that. Sold 1500@32.75 & held. Threw in at 32.66. Now to lunch.
