    • Josh Krause: AT a long term hold? Looks attractive for DIRP holding.

    • BTD70: Friend of mine considering a block purchase of AT to buy/hold, use monthly income to pay a student loan.

    • BTD70: I can't find a problem with that.

    • Ocean Man: AT and PGH both good for monthly divs, and both at good prices right now. They pay 2 weeks apart (30th and 16th), so they're a good pair.

    • BTD70: Thanks for the info. I'm investigating for my pal, researching difference between annual yield and monthly pay out. I think....

    • BTD70: .....the way it works is you gotta hold for a year to realize the 7-8% figure. Monthly you're getting 1/12th of that. This is new for me.

    • Mercy Jimenez: AT = my largest dividend holding 4 several yrs.; good yield+growth; in 2008 meltdown it did NOT reduce dividends; great mngt + acquisitions.
      4/13/12
    • Mercy Jimenez: Note large acquisition=high payout ratio; reduction started; mngt represents contract locks thru 2016 supports dividend EVEN IF zero growth

    • BTD70: Thanks Mercy, I read article supporting your second post yesterday.
