I AM A NUMBER DUMMY!!
A term I use for the general public MIDDLE CLASS. We are the financially uneducated, unexposed to the stock market and financial investments. Most of us don't even know what the fiscal cliff is. One woman thought it was 70 ft. tall! WOW!
I for one, think we should start teaching our kids financial responsibilities in schools, at an early age. How about a REAL education for once.
Why we need classes like home eck is beyond me. Cooking & sewing?? Read the box & microwave it! I for one support a small tax on investment income to support financial education in public schools. Could help save America.
I'm coming to the game late, so I'm quite aggressive towards growth.
My thoughts on the fiscal cliff?? Shove ur scare tactics where the sun don't shine!!
As for investing, I shoot from the hip. I go with my gut. Common sense goes along way. I don't buy hype. EPS what? What ticker is that?

I have graduated from UC Davis with B.A.s in Economics and International Relations in 2013. I have previous work experience with Morgan Stanley's Financial Training Program in portfolio construction and valuation and the California Lighting Technology Center (CLTC) in lighting efficiency. My most recent position was with Mosaic, a solar finance and investment company, as an Institutional Investment Marketing Fellow. I enjoy travelling, the beach and the ideas of sustainability and decentralization.
I am an experienced individual investor who has been trading merger arbitrage stocks and options since the 90's. I am a writer with a Master of Science from Northwestern University and I truly enjoy writing articles about the stock market. I try to look for opportunities where the odds are in my favor and there is a definite edge. On Seeking Alpha my articles will aim to provide insight and favorable risk/reward for the readers. However, I am not an investment advisor so any recomendations or ideas I write about in my articles, blogs, or comments shouldn't be taken as investment advice. I recommend using my writings as a starting point to which you should add your own research or that of an investment advisor.
"Any time you make a bet with the best of it, where the odds are in your favor, you have earned something on that bet, whether you actually win or lose the bet. By the same token, when you make a bet with the worst of it, where the odds are not in your favor, you have lost something, whether you actually win or lose the bet."
