  • Long-term Contracts Abundant In Outsourcing Industry

Positive feedback about outsourcing from businesses across the globe and its benefits are spread out in different mediums, among these would be on the websites in the form of testimonials, newsletters or industry blogs. There may be some companies who had a negative experience with outsourcing in the past, but this should not hinder them from exploring other opportunities that can be offered by the industry because the industry has evolved already. Outsourcing companies today have taken measures to ensure that their clients are satisfied and their concerns are being attended to with utmost urgency. There are outsourcing solutions providers that value their clients and make an immense effort to learn their clients' businesses - which leads them to become a preferred and trusted outsourcing partner.

The increasing popularity of outsourcing companies because of the positive effects it has on businesses have led many to seek outsourcing and have propelled businesses to establish long-term contracts with solutions providers. Despite the size of population who are already outsourcing, there are still some who are just beginning to embrace outsourcing be it in the form of contact center solutions, back office, or software services.

But there are important factors to consider when it is going to be your first time to engage in an outsourcing partnership and there would still be additional factors to consider if you are opting to partner with an offshore outsourcing solutions provider. But one must not fret and feel overwhelmed with the factors because we can assure you that having gone through all those assessment, you will be ready to outsource in no time. There is only enough ways on how to stress the importance of these and we probably have covered it already in our past articles.

It is probably safe to say that there is no sector that is kept away from outsourcing. As what we may have witnessed in the first half of the year, outsourcing has been engaging with first time customers and long-time customers alike.

Recently, there was an announcement that solutions provider Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been selected by Spain's largest police force, Guardia Civil, for IT support services. Guardia Civil has sought out the assistance of Accenture "to oversee the integration of 12 additional information sources into the operations management system and police investigations systems" they use. This decision by Guardia Civil is aimed at enhancing their capabilities with regard to their systems for management and police investigation.

Even in different regions across the globe, government units are among the top customers of the outsourcing industry.

Xerox (NYSE: XRX), another business process management company, has announced this month that it has been awarded by the Philadelphia Parking Authority a seven (7) year contract that is valued at $75 million. The said BPO company is an experienced solutions provider when it comes to parking systems management and operation because it is being contracted for such solutions for 40 years already and is not only limited to United States cities. Xerox is one of the large enterprise companies who provide transportation services to governments across the world.

Such long-term contracts could very well be a testament to the fact that companies and government units alike enjoy positive benefits from the outsourcing industry.

  • The Future Of Cloud Computing Has Arrived

The cloud has been a popular option with companies especially those who handle document and information exchanges on a frequent basis. Cloud computing has been the target of many criticisms on grounds involving data security and the level of control that is still maintained by the client. It is understandable why there are so many industry experts who were, at first, hesitant towards the idea of cloud computing. It can be seen as a threat to existing outsourcing companies who offer information technology solutions because instead of going for the solutions being offered by traditional data centers, companies now have the option to tap cloud computing and increase their IT capabilities by seeking real-time service over the Internet.

Recently, we have noticed that it is not only businesses who avail of cloud computing solutions because even sporting events have also enjoyed it as well. There are different faces of cloud computing and probably the most popular among these would be Software as a Service (NASDAQ:SAAS). However, Uefa Euro 2012 tournament, the most recent sporting event host whose attention has been caught by outsourcing companies, has opted to outsource their IT infrastructure to Interoute. This kind of cloud computing-slash-outsourcing solutions provider is described by ComputerWeekly as supplier-built private cloud. Interoute is a telecom provider who has agreed to build a private cloud for the said organization's critical system, and it has also agreed to host host the applications for Uefa Euro 2012 from two data centers, one in Amsterdam and the other one in Geneva.

There have been many instances in the industry wherein the initial comparison between cloud computing and outsourcing has taken a turn towards a more interesting approach - where one being complemented by the other and that both has found a way to make it more feasible and beneficial to the client. Client satisfaction is always considered as one of the top priorities of most outsourcing companies.

Still on cloud computing, aside from sporting events organizations, it looks like the healthcare industry has also considered and thought about cloud computing. There are a number of companies in the market today who have integrated cloud into healthcare practices, examples of such companies would be CareCloud and Athenahealth. The latter is considered the pioneer in this particular aspect of the industry. In the past, the main concern of healthcare customers was the disclosure of information to a third party, who are the cloud computing software vendors, and whether or not do these vendors comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). But with today's developments, companies such as CareCloud are already gaining support from investors. A testament to this would be CareCloud's raising of $20 million in its series A round. Also, as a positive sign for healthcare cloud vendors, Athenahealth was ranked as 4th among the 25 fastest growing tech companies.

It is possible that the future of both the outsourcing industry and cloud computing industry has already arrived. Imagine, just a couple of years ago, these two were being pitted against each other while industry experts share their opinions that one is already endangered while the other is thriving. But there were only a few who may have pointed out that the two could have a collaboration and help each other out.

  • Outsourcing Strives To Help Businesses Through Software Development

There are existing companies who have been bothered by most billing work processes-be it medical billing or claims processing. This has been the case for many because of the large pile of paperwork to be handled have caused businesses to be delayed in processing each claim. Such delay could cause your business to slow down when it comes to generating income and it could be a roadblock to your income flow. Also, it could affect your relationship with your own respective clients. But this should no longer be a problem given the circumstances today which pave the way for you to regulate both your business' workflow and income flow.

In the past, there were only a limited way for businesses to address such problem but just like everything else, times have changed and the current set up has allowed for outsourcing companies to help companies who are looking to hasten their billing and claims processing.

There are now a number of outsourcing companies available in the market, but it is important to see whether their solutions are a fit to what your business and business processes require. Each outsourcing company has their own specialization, but there are some solutions providers who accommodate the uniqueness of each business and tailor their solutions according to what is needed. Also, some outsourcing companies extend its assistance through the development of software and through designing work processes to enhance their clients' performance.

We have pointed out that billing and claims processes are integral parts of a company, especially when this is what your business is about. There are instances wherein instead of seeking software that is compatible to their process, a business would further seek a combination of software and service. This kind would encapsulate multiple work procedures in a particular process instead of just doing one of the many steps and it seems that this is what most outsourcing companies offer.

Outsourcing solutions provider Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has been in the limelight for the past few days after they have been selected by a number of companies and government offices to support their processes. Most of these have sought Accenture's expertise when it comes to software development and consultancy.

First week into the month of July and Accenture has already had a couple of press releases, announcing its partnership with various entities. The first announcement covers Accenture's collaboration with Mountain States Insurance Group, wherein the former was selected for its property and casualty policy software suite and billing system. Mountain States Insurance Group avails this software developed by Accenture for them to improve their business in line with the new marker demands and for them to streamline their internal processes. The billing system will aid in the implementation and maintenance of Insurance Service Office-based commercial lines and National Council on Compensation Insurance-based workers' compensation products.

The second press release covers Accenture's partnership with a healthcare office based in Madrid, Spain. Accenture, together with Madrid Health Services, have implemented Madrid Electronic Health Record System that stores patient information electronically into a single, integrated record. This electronic health record system will be accessible to 26,000 clinicians. This will enable a faster, more secure and streamlined approach to healthcare-related processes.

Software outsourcing has grown to become a strong force in the outsourcing industry and it has proven to grow even stronger when it comes to developing and supporting billing and claims processing outsourcing.
