Look again at the 1st Chart. The key thing here is the breakdown in planned consumer electronics spending between the February 2008 survey and the January 2008 survey -- both which occurred AFTER the Holiday Season. Moreover, if you compare the February 2008 results with those of a year ago (March 2007) you also see an unmistakable breakdown. Take another look -- the data is clear.
