Paul Kedrosky
Dr. Paul S. Kedrosky is Executive Director of the William J. von Liebig Center in San Diego, which catalyzes the commercialization of technologies from UC San Diego. Dr. Kedrosky is also a venture investor with Ventures West, Canada's largest institutional venture capital firm, where he is most active in consumer technologies and software.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Kedrosky founded the technology equity research practice at HSBC James Capel. Dr. Kedrosky was one of the first analysts to cover Internet companies, as well as making early and timely calls in networking and communications.
He hosts a television program, "Profiles on Innovation", that is available on cable in the U.S., as well as on the web (at ucsd.tv). He writes a monthly column ("The Opportunist") for Business 2.0 magazine, and has appeared on CNN, CNBC, PBS Newshour, ABC Nightline, and in the New York Times.
