Were I the Democrats, I'd find a way to diffuse this potentially explosive issue shortly, and not risk such a confilgration FOUR WEEKS before election day. But even if Senator Reid were looking for a way out, Ms. Pelosi seems hell bent on forcing a political Argemendon.
So, stay tuned, the presidency may well hang in the balance....

Stocks-- SOL was a good pick... It's doing quite well.

However, I don't need to point out to you the dangers of investing in activities you believe the government will support. I'm sure you already know that.

And I wouldn't count my Obama chickens just yet. It's going to be interesting to see what happens Oct. 1 if the Republicans in the Senate have to shut down the government to keep the moratorium on offshore oil and gas exploration from being extended.

It's looking more and more like we're headed toward such a showdown at 100 MPH, and there's NO TELLING how voters might react to that!
