  • The Coming Bond Market Collapse: 3 Ways to Dodge the Damage [View article]
You're barking up the wrong tree! The risk now is that the dollar reverses and stocks correct - and that would push bonds back up temporarily. But that would not last for very long - however, that is the time to buy your TBT! Same thing may well be true for gold and silver if the dollar reverses as it did in late 2008

Have you seen them? This is a tribal civil war - very few have a clue what democracy is about (rule of law based on property rights and periodic elections) or care. This is the US view, not the Arab view.

You have a point. One article yesterday had 20,000 marching for the first time in Algeria (major oil producer) and it was hardly picked up. But I am afraid the news from the Middle East is getting worse not better. Syria is not going down the silk route but has chosen a rougher path. Libya looks worse by the day. Yemen is out of control. The internal situation in Bahrain looks horrible.

Shorting silver no, but this might not be the best moment to buy - the price pull backs can be quite vicious and the upward moverment has been dramatic

If it comes down to saying that nobody can ever spot a good deal then obviously this is complete nonsense. If you are saying that such deals are tough to spot and not everybody can do it then that is true. But to say it cannot be done is ridiculous as clearly some people do spot winners and do so consistently. Sometimes you only see this after it has been done, like in gold and silver now
