Fabien is a private investor who likes the value investing style. At a younger age he learned about investing when a friend joined a stock picking competition. Later on he started reading investment books to enhance his knowledge. He is a great fan of Warren Buffet and other value investors. He likes to invest in companies that are cheaply available and have a good business model. Or as Charlie Munger put it: “ It’s better to buy a great business at a reasonable price then a reasonable business at a great price”
Fabien passed the CFA level 1 exam and is eager to complete the full program. He currently works as a financial adviser for a Dutch bank. He is both a holder of a Bachelor degree in Economics from the Inholland University of Applied Sciences, and the securities trader degree from the Dutch Institute for Banking and Securities.
His goal in writing for SA is to help people make better investing decisions. He hopes to guard people from making bad investments and help others to discover good ones. My goal is to move into money management and start my own investment fund one day. Hope my articles will positively influence your investment decisions!
