    The protective put is there in case something really bad happens, like the DoJ proving gross negligence, etc.

    For dividend paying stocks there's usually not much time value to take advantage of, as the option price takes into account the expected dividend payment. Sometimes I show the other months as well, but I didn't in this case, would have been more clear.

    Yes, covered calls and collars can be rolled up or down to take advantage of increased time value.
