  • Potash Corporation Looking Bullish [View article]
POT broke through the management point of $42, so the 2012 Sep 37.5/40 bull-put credit spread can be rolled to the 2012 Dec 35/37.5 bull-put credit spread for a net credit of $0.14. New management point of $39.

  • Bullish On Coca-Cola As Global Growth Overcomes European Malaise [View article]
Had 2-for-1 stock split for this one, so now in 2012 Sep 36.25/37.50 bull-put credit spread. Management point of 38.75 ($77.50/2) has been breached, so position should be rolled.

Looks like rolling to 2012 Nov 33.75/36.25 for a net credit of $0.07 is possible, have to double down on capital requirement.

    New management point of 37.7.

  • Hewlett-Packard: Valley Or Cliff? [View article]
OK, I'm seeing $0.08 for the call and $2.49 for the put, so looks like a profit of around 40%, altogether, so I would at least take 50% of the profit off of the table and may be let 50% ride for a few days. Or, just take the profit and run!

  • Visa: Bringing Home A Medal [View article]
According to Yahoo!, Trailing P/E is 62.24 and forward P/E is 17.81. The reason for the high P/E, is Visa is taking into account having to pay the settlement.

No, we don't typically exit for a loss, we roll, here are some examples where I show how this is done:

    Sandisk (SNDK): http://seekingalpha.co...

    Akamai (AKAM): http://seekingalpha.co...

The potential profit pre-brokerage is 8.7%. The potential profit post-brokerage is probably around 8.2%, depending on the brokerage fees/commissions. So how about $8,200 on a $100,000 investment in only 33 days (assuming the position is not rolled).

You are correct, do not HAVE to have option search/analysis tools, but the tools save a lot of time and effort.

Most of the profit has been realized for this bull-put credit trade, should probably exit or roll.
