  • The Salesforce.com Bubble is Ready to Burst [View article]
If I were long, I'd be very worried about the action on the stock. Its being manipulated to a ridiculous extent, and the pre-earnings dump was an example.
I shorted on fundamentals, I cant believe you're so happy paying 56 bucks per share for a company that earns 5 cents a quarter. Good luck with that. Look at AMZN, RVD...this one is next.

    Dude
Thats what all the experts like you said about HANS, WFMI and NTRI.
Just invest according to your SOUND logic, and we'll see where you'll get with stocks like that.

  • Six Stocks to Buy, Five Stocks to Short [View article]
    hi beech
I dont think I mentoined anywhere I sold Apple. I'd be really out of my mind to take a $30 hit in stock price and then sell.
I have all my positions. I have some nice shorts in FSLR and CRM as well so I'm all set.
    thanks

    Hey Uncle Bill.
I dont wanna call names, but look at LDK stock and the price of Nov 30 puts.
Both you and that other clown didnt know what you were talking about. While you fools are likcing your wounds, I made good money even with the stock going down.
Some people like you never learn.

I dont want to respond to every point in your comment. Instead of saying things about me, look at my track record since the beginning of the year and my stock recommendations and when i have made them.
When you do the math, you'll see the 42% seems pretty amateur in comparison.
    good luck

  • Scaling Back On My Suntech Power Position [View article]
Good observation. I have noted the same on my blog. I think this stock will go down to 50 before any upward movement. It has gone too up too much in the past 2 weeks alone, and I believe it will go down further after earnings, like JA Solar.
Right now the safest play in solar is LDK Solar, due to an almost 50% reduction in stock price recently

This company is nothing but PR...unbelievable, the amount of press releases they dish out, for every inconsequential thing.
Lets see how long they can keep it up.
See market up today but this stock is still down.

  • Crocs Falls 36%: Time to Buy [View article]
Cramer's show is purely for entertainment. He flip-flops a lot. I watch his show just to see what ticker symbol he's talkin about.
    Keep the faith.

I agree. Till now, no one has been able to point to one bad thing in the ER. Seasonality is an issue? They're kidding, even AAPL has seasonality.
They say it has only one product: Well Hansen has only monster, Microsoft was built on Windows and Intuitive surgical sells Da Vinci only.
Its just a short-attack, and a great value play here too.

    hi ALC.
While its overly speculative, it works. Also, I never submitted the article here. I posted it on my blog, and SeekingAlpha would have found it relevant so they added it here.
Sorry you didnt find it useful

  • Insuring My LDK Investment By Buying Puts [View article]
I bought the Nov 30 calls at 10 cents, and if you think that is not cheap, I am at a loss for words.
First off, your assumptions are wrong, and so is your theory. I am hedging against 100 shares, or $4000, so if the stock does go to $25 in a month, I will make more than 4K on my options.
As for your last statement, feel free to make your own judgements.

    Uncle Bill,
thanks for the comment However, I am sad to day you couldnt be more wrong than this. I got 10 contracts of Nov 30 puts at 10 cents, which is $100.
I dont know what kind of premium you're talking about here.
And then, even with the stock up 2% today, I am still up 250% on my puts, so either way it was a win-win.
If the stock really does go up, the max I lose is $100.
As for your: "Adding long puts to a long stock position turns the position into a long call". , I dont know what you're talking about here.
Maybe you should read a bit on options.

  • Why I'm Shorting Crocs [View article]
    hi Amit.
    Brilliant call.
I just saw your article yesterday morning, and though I did not short Crox, I liked your reasoning behind the move.
Incidentally, I happened to look at your bio, and its exactly what I want to do in my career. I am applying to Business School, and in the long term I want to setup a fund.
Will be great if I could bother you with some of my questions, in the future.
    thanks

  • Buy LDK Solar's Panic Selling Drop [View article]
There's some rules I follow, cdpayne:

    1. If fundamentals havent changed, your trade should not change. Holds perfectly in this case.

    2. When others are fearful, be greedy. After a drop of 50% on just claims, I wonder how much more down it will go.

    3. For longs, there's a common rule that says buy on rumor sell on news. The same applies here. The shorts have shorted mercilessly on the rumor, and will cover when the news comes out with the company dismissing claims.
