I cant find anything either. There will always be people who are unhappy with certain political standings of a company but the future remains strong for SBUX.

  • General Electric To Return 50% More Cash To Shareholders In 2013 [View article]
Stock repurchases though give more flexibility to companies than shareholders, but they still return cash to shareholders. A stockholder has the choice to tender his shares for repurchase, accept the payment and pay the taxes. Whereas with a cash dividend, a stockholder has no choice but to accept the dividend and pay the taxes. Moreover, GE is most likely to purchase the share when they are undervalued than overvalued.

GE is a huge company with someone happening all the time, not everyone will be pleased with the move. But company investing in its own stocks sends a good signal to me.

  • United States Steel - Too Big To Succeed? [View article]
ARG I wouldn't go that far. Yes there are companies which are operating in difficult times and X is one such example. But at the same time there are plenty of good investment opportunities. In steel industry itself I think NUE and STLD are looking at a healthy 2013.

Thanks SD. Non resdential demand which should follow residential should also support the stock price further in coming months and that $5 figure should also rise with it :)

  • Steel Dynamics: Diversified Product Mix, Superior Margins, And Improving Steel Demand [View article]
Kamal, as I mentioned on a comment earlier both NUE and STLD are our favorite steel picks. No where in the artcile we mentioned NUE is not a good investment or STLD is a better investment than NUE. The article solely focuses on STLD. However, we wrote an article on NUE earlier, explaining why it is a good investment. You might want to read it.

Thanks for your comment Bigssmitty. While you're at it you might also want to look at NUE. Both NUE and STLD are our favorite steel stocks considering their exposure to the industries mentioned in the article.

We also wrote an article on NUE earlier, you might want to read it as well.

Thanks Freekizh. While X has its end-market exposure to different industries, both NUE and STLD have a significant exposure to construction and auto markets.
