The 50% premium we are giving to AAPL is because of the same reasons you mentioned--balance sheet strength!!

Everyone thinks that AAPL is not expensive because sell side is expecting growth rates to be too high. Once they revise down their numbers, it will start looking expensive.

You missed the point. Insiders selling does not mean Apple is a bad stock, it just raises the question if they are taking partial profits why shouldn't other investors? can you dispute that?

you are absolutely right its not the time to panic but taking profits over uncertainty is a key part of investment strategy. As we say Apple has a very loyal consumer base and that's why the market would give it more chances to prove itself.
As far as the valuation in concerned even if we use a multiple of 15x and 2014 consensus eps of $60, we get a target price of $900. For 2014, bullish eps estimates are for $75. I think such high growth stock should get a higher multiple. 20x and using 2013 consensus eps no we get a price in north of $1k.
