Ranga Chand

Ranga Chand is an independent international economist and financial author who is widely recognized for his unique insights and broad knowledge on the global economy and the world of finance. He has extensive expertise in economic policy formulation, asset allocation analysis and portfolio design. He has developed model client investment portfolios for several blue-chip financial institutions including the Bank of Nova Scotia, the Bank of Montreal, and the Co-operators Insurance Company of Canada.

Ranga is the author of a number of best-selling investment books including ‘Is Your Retirement at Risk? Winning Strategies for a Financially Secure Future’ and the annual editions of ‘Ranga Chand’s World of Mutual ...More Funds’. He is also a regular contributor on economic and financial issues to the Globe and Mail.

Prior to establishing his research and consultancy firm ‘Chand Carmichael & Company’ in 1993 he held senior positions with Canada’s Department of Finance, the Conference Board of Canada, and a major stock brokerage firm. He has also taught economics at the University of Waterloo, published extensively in the field of economics, and represented Canada at numerous economic forums, including the OECD in Paris, the United Nations, and the World Institute of Economics in Germany.
