Part time trading. I look at everything from short term trades/investments and upcoming catalysts to long term holdings.
I manage my personal portfolio along with a couple of other individuals smaller portfolios. Spend most of my time reading and looking into new companies. There is always a good investment out there. Appreciate everyone's insights.
I am a new member to SA. As some of you, I am struggling to find a way to invest for my retirement. I learned a lot from this site. Now I am focus on the articles and advise on retirement saving. When I was 30, I used to say I could tolerate RISK and always picked up aggressive portfolio from banks mutual fund. Now I am 50, I found out that I did not make much money, and my money just like roller coaster. I realize now that I could not tolerate any loss. That is why I joined this site and mainly focus on value investment. My first goal is no loss, with 5% return. Why 5%, according the the assessment done by financial adviser from bank, if I can get 5% return with my current asset and same amount of contribution, then I can retire with 60% of current income.
I like Regarded solutions and Larry Smith for their idea of dividend growth investment.
