At the Red Cat Journal, our one aim and singular mission is to deliver real and valuable insight into a changing China, with a special focus on the financial and economic spheres. Our coverage includes articles on China’s stock markets, economy and culture. We also produce a weekly newsletter which features highlights from our website and occasionally offers special content not found on our website.

Our content aims to be practical, useful and non-ideological. As a result, our motto is one of Deng Xiao-Ping’s famous sayings: “It doesn’t matter whether a cat is black or white so long as it catches mice.”
