As I've written about 200 times about nly and merits, interest rates fluctuate and it's not a reason for me to sell. Interest rates go up and down. As long as the spreads are good so are we.
A really interesting article and food for thought, but I have a few questions; So about 200k to pay for stuff. Now can you explain how to go about saving for this and also buying ones needs at the same time? How long will it take for someone to save up enough to invest?
Is there a less complicated way to go about this than your scenario? I think you could be onto a somewhat different wrinkle here, but some of the wrinkles might need some "ironing".

Hi Rom, I am not well versed on canadian stocks so even if I looked at the numbers I would still not be comfy giving an opinion. I like staying in the US. That being said, Canada has had the most stable banking system around form what my Canadian friends tell me. RBC is the biggest I believe. I also do not know what the tax issues are with a Canadian bank, so check that out with your accountant.

and a good opinion it is...I believe I have noted the risks in every article I have written. This one I linked to, and the spread is determined by the 2-10 yr Treasuries, so with ZIRP we are in good shape right now.
