Reggie Middleton » Profile |

Reggie Middleton is the personification of the freethinking maverick—the penultimate nonconformist as it applies to macro strategies, investment, and analysis. He uses his background and knowledge in new media, distributed computing, risk management, insurance, financial engineering, real estate, corporate valuation, and financial analysis to pursue, analyze, and capitalize on global macroeconomic opportunities. Finding most available research lacking, both in quality and quantity, Mr. Middleton assembled his own talented research staff. As forensic research is a lynchpin for his own investing, "to actually put food on the table," he stands behind it as doing what it is supposed to do - illustrate, elucidate and educate. He does not sell advice or research. He is an entrepreneur who exists outside of mainstream corporate America and Wall Street. This allows him the freedom to do things that many cannot—perform without conflicts of interest and corporate politics. He prides himself on developing some of the highest quality, actionable research available - regardless of price. He welcomes any and all to peruse his blog of freely available analysis, opinion and participatory social media; use his custom tools, download files, interact with the community and make critical comparisons from a results orientated perspective. Reggie believes ideas and implementations are improved and fine-tuned when bounced off of the collective intellect of the many, in lieu of that of the few - in essence, a form of collaborative open source financial analysis.

Reggie Middleton's Company

BoomBustBlog With a 2008 total return of 106% for my blog research, and 336% for my proprietary trading account (which trades very infrequently), I proudly declare my investment research to be the best available - to anyone, from anywhere, at any price.

I have publicly called the demise or downfall of 38 banks, REITS and insurers with amazing accuracy though 20 page forensic analysis and valuation reports. These calls were made months ahead of the companies demise or downfall and in direct contravention to the proclamations and edicts of the sell side analysts community, buy side advisers and pop pundits:

Bear Stearns from $180 down to $3: http://boombustblog.com/content/view/142/34/

General Growth Properties and a general warning on the entire commercial real estate market in November of 2007, way ahead of the curve: http://boombustblog.com/20080615425/GGP-and-the-type-of-investigative-analysis-you-will-not-get-from-your-brokerage-house.html

The weakness of at least 32 regional banks in the spring of 2008, way ahead of the curve, in the Doo Doo 32: http://boombustblog.com/component/option,com_myblog/show,As-I-see-it-32-commercial-banks-and-thrifts-may-see-the-feces-hit-the-fan-blades.html/Itemid,20/

See how my results compare to the bulge bracket banks in serving high net worth individuals: http://boombustblog.com/20090110751/Super-Brokers-form-to-push-Super-Broken-products-to-make-those-with-High-Net-Worth-Super-Broke.html

Notice how I simply link to outstanding performance instead of spewing a market spiel. My performance markets for me, which is why I can count bulge bracket banks, hedge funds and proprietary desks, central banks and individual investors as subscribers from all over the globe. Over half a trillion US dollars under management subscribes to my research and opinion. Come see what they are paying for.
