I also see the risk this week to the upside so far, but I want to see first if AAPL crosses above 596.58, its 50dma, which should help rocket the stock above 600 and make me sell 600/595 weekly put spreads, b ut so far it hasn´t broken that level, so I´ll keep watching for a rejection of breakthrough of that level before placing the trade.

For the coming week, I see bullish risk in AAPL, so I would recommend waiting for Monday and seeing if it can break above its 200dma around 596 and its 50dma at 611.26. Yes, the exit strategy would depend on how strongly the stock moves, what day it moves and in what direction it is. It would most probably be rolling the position a week forward, or closing it and tightening the other end if there is a very strong catalyst either up or down to reduce the loss. But there is always an exit strategy.

Sounds good, TLT put spreads are good as long as big money doesn´t get too exited about the "Greek deal". If it does, a strategy change should be done as soon as possible. However, the 121/119 put spread on TLT looks good because it needs to pierce thru many layers of support before going in-the-money, so you can have a lot of time to adjust it if needed. I would bet more now on TLT not falling than on IWM not rising, but maybe both will happen.

Yes, mainly I look for high volatility, Apple´s weeklies have around 32 right now (usually happens in the first hour of trading) and high theta, which means the option will lose value very quickly, especially out-of-the-money options, and especially on Thursday and Friday. And the article took a while to get published, about 5 or 10 minutes before the close. Tomorrow should be a good time to sell these in the morning, any changes I will post in Stocktalks and/or here.

I am in this trade, as I have been in the past two, and with 5 times the contracts I am using for the options portfolio. So I have 5 times more "skin" in the game than I am writing about. It does not change my outlook.

Exactly, I do think after using this strategy for some time, you see that there are fewer strategies that compete with the level of safety and reward you can get. And I do agree monthlies are way less risky, as you can close your position and roll it with more time, but for me, weeklies have worked wonders, that´s why I decided to start posting these weekly articles. I will wait for Monday to post my next trade, I did rolled them closer (545/550 and 570/575 weeklies, but closed them yesterday 5 minutes before the bell, great theta decay). I expect some downside to fill the gap left around 535, but not tomorrow, hopefully we will get that move on Monday and get it over with so we can trade that. The risk is now to the downside for next week, contrary to this week´s upside risk that we avoided by waiting until Monday´s huge move.

If they´re option spreads, it wouldn´t matter because there´s no extra margin requirement as you are not selling "naked" calls or puts. However, I don´t know what the minimum requiments are for trading options with your broker.
