AMZN forming a triangle on the 5-minute chart, getting real close to the hour of truth, will it go to 215 or 230?

    • Ricardo Espinosa: For the record, I expect profit-taking to take place and bring this 13% up to around 9 or 10%, so 210-215ish, we´ll see in 40min.

    • Bret Kenwell: Rich you playing that then? Puts or outright

    • Ricardo Espinosa: I got stuck in an Iron Condor, 175/170 short puts (already out) and short 215/220 calls for today(haha), gonna wait, if price=higher, I roll

    • Ricardo Espinosa: that same call spread for about 0.65 debit each, but buy another week for AMZN to touch 210ish.

    • Ricardo Espinosa: Aaaand down it is.

    • Bret Kenwell: right on. watching for fades in AMZN and EXPE too. EXPE just ripping today.

    • Ricardo Espinosa: Wow I hadn´t seen EXPE, it´s going nuts, might be worth a fade with a $1 stop above current price, then keep moving them down.

    • Bret Kenwell: yep, it's up so much, a fade of a few percent would still leave a huge gain. worth the risk imo

    • Bret Kenwell: with a high right at 43, I wouldn't expect much more above that.

    • Ricardo Espinosa: Go for it, I´ll check out put spreads and shorting calls.
      4/27/12
    • Bret Kenwell: will do, I'm going to use puts. let me know if you go in !

    • Ricardo Espinosa: I held off EXPE but it now looks tired, I´d sell some call spreads if I had margin not held up, better to go long tomorrow when you see red.
